Safer Internet Day 2017 will take place on Tuesday 7th February with the theme 'Be the change: unite for a better internet'.
Safer Internet Day (SID) is celebrated globally in February each year to promote the safe and positive use of digital technology for learners.
Coordinated in the UK by the UK Safer Internet Centre the celebration sees hundreds of organisations unite to raise awareness of online safety issues and run events and activities right across the UK.
In the UK, as a result of our collective action Safer Internet Day 2016 reached 2.8 million children and 2.5 million parents!

As coordinators of the UK Safer Internet Centre, we at SWGfL will be working in partnership with Welsh Government to celebrate the day across Wales.
This year we are running a competition calling young people to create an online safety logo for Wales. The competition closed on 12 December and the winners will be announced on Safer Internet Day.
